Das Forum Friedenspsychologie ? Bewusst-sein für den Frieden schreibt 
zum 14. Mal den ?Gert-Sommer-Preis für Friedenspsychologie? aus. 
Eingereicht werden können in deutscher oder englischer Sprache verfasste 
Qualifizierungsarbeiten auf allen Ebenen. Die Arbeiten sollen sich 
theoretisch und/oder empirisch mit Fragen der Friedenspsychologie 
befassen, d.h. mit psychologischen Dimensionen der Prävention und des 
Abbaus direkter, struktureller und/oder kultureller Gewalt, der 
gewaltfreien und konstruktiven Austragung kollektiver Konflikte (z.B. 
durch Mediation) oder der Förderung von Menschenrechten und sozialer 
Gerechtigkeit (z.B. durch Friedensbildung oder Friedenspädagogik, auch 
Themen wie Nachhaltigkeit können hier relevant sein).

Call for Applications

2020 International Society for Political Psychology Summer Academy

The ISPP Summer Academy is currently accepting applications for their annual three-day workshop held prior to the annual ISPP meeting. The 2020 Summer Academy will take place July 11th ? July 13th, 2020 in Berlin, Germany at the Maritim Hotel. The Summer Academy aims to train interested faculty and students in both foundational research and cutting-edge methodologies in the area of political psychology. The Summer Academy?s central objective is to spread interest and promote training in political psychology around the world.

The 2020 Summer Academy will feature 8 lectures and several Q&A sessions with prominent political psychologists from around the world. This year?s instructors are: Molly Andrews, Erin Cassese, Johanna Dunaway, Kevin Durrheim, George E. Marcus, Rune Slothuus, and Nick Wheeler.

Summer Academy Fellows will also receive membership in ISPP for one year, and a 50% discount on registration for the 2020 ISPP Annual Meeting, which is already calculated in the registration prices paid for the Summer Academy.

thank you again to those who joined us in Hagen last week for the "24-hours of political psychology"!

One of the issues that was brought to my attention was that the emails from this list contain a lot of non-useful at the beginning of the message - and that this is not so clear. I have now changed the settings and now and you should receive this message as a normal email. If this is not the case, please let me know, so that I can look into further options on how to improve this.

Currently, this mailing list has 235 members from different disciplines. Most members are based in Germany and some are from abroad. So please keep sharing your news and information that may be of interest to those working in the field of political psychology by sending an email to polpsy-deu at fernuni-hagen.de<mailto:polpsy-deu at fernuni-hagen.de>

We cordially invite empirical research articles on media use and political engagement taking up a cross-culturally comparative design!!! 

Democracies around the world are struggling with the global decline of civic and political engagement, especially among younger generations (Bessant, Farthing, & Watts, 2016; Smith & Thompson, 2015). Recent data from World Value Surveys and the Eurobarometer have yielded alarming results (Whiteley, 2012), showing that young people in most Western countries are increasingly dissatisfied with and disinterested in liberal democracy (Foa & Mounk, 2017; Sloam, 2016). At the same time, this overall decline is paralleled by an increase of new forms of engagement such as lifestyle politics, Internet activism, and political consumerism (Dalton, 2004; 2006; Theocharis & van Deth, 2018). 

These developments have contributed to a new understanding of citizenship, one in which citizens are increasingly engaging through informal, creative, participatory, and digitally networked activities, thus moving political engagement into the domain of entertainment and personalized communication (Park, Kee, & Valenzuela, 2009). Activities that formerly took place offline (such as demonstrations, signing petitions, political discussions) have now largely moved into the online sphere and work in concert with offline civic engagement activity. They include a wide range of phenomena such as using social networks to access information, using digital platforms to exchange views, using mobile applications to access government services, and organizing protests on social networks (Bala, 2014). Many of these emergent behaviors are not yet fully understood. Their global rise across the world as expressed in countless examples of collective action in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the USA, however, render them a timely topic to study from a cross-cultural perspective.

Current scholarship focuses especially on the social and psychological factors that connect media use and political engagement (Hsiao, 2018; Hsiao & Yang, 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018). Social identity, efficacy, injustice perceptions, emotions, values, and system justification beliefs have been identified as crucial psychosocial predictors of digitally enabled political engagement (Hsiao, 2018; Jost et al., 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018; Van Zomeren, Postmes, & Spears, 2008).  At the same time, our understanding of these effects has remained insufficient and largely confined to Western democratic contexts (such as Europe and the USA; see Hsiao, 2018, for an overview of this extensive research). Although a few authors have taken up a non-Western perspective and investigated such mechanisms of political engagement in the non-Western world (e.g. Hsiao, 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018; Wibisono, Louis, & Jetten, 2019), current scholarship is impressively void of cross-culturally comparative approaches to the role of media in political engagement. 

This Special Section aims to highlight the influence of cultural factors (societies, cultures, cultural identities, political regimes etc.) on the relationship between media use and political engagement. We are particularly looking for cross-culturally comparative empirical studies, both qualitative and quantitative, that deal with the role of media use in political engagement. A central aim of the studies should be to understand cultural variance in the theories that have been produced on the topic. Studies should thus focus on a minimum of two cultural contexts that are compared. 

The Special Section is open for a variety of topics. Examples include, but are not limited to:
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of satirical new media formats, such as political talk-shows and political Internet memes, for political engagement;      
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of specific social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and other non-Western variants, for political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of entertainment media, such as political movies and video games, for political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of political, religious, cultural identity in the relationship between media use and political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of ?cultured? emotions and values in the relationship between media use and political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on social-psychological mechanisms in the context of echo chambers, fake news, and propaganda

The review process is two-tiered and comprises the submission of an extended abstract and a full paper. Full papers will be invited only if they are accepted in the prior review of extended abstracts. Extended abstracts are due April 20, 2020; full papers are due September 20, 2020 (see time line below).

The extended abstract (1,000 words max. excluding tables and references) should present previously unpublished work on a topic of clear interest to the Special Section. The extended abstract would typically include information about the cross-cultural purpose, novelty, significance, or knowledge gap being addressed, the cross-cultural methodological design of the study, and present cross-cultural results, conclusions and implications of the work conducted. The extended abstract must provide a title, a short 150-word abstract (not counted towards the 1,000 words), and up to five keywords that identify the thematic focus of the work. If accepted, the final full paper (8,900 words) must be turned in by September 20, 2020. an meinem Lehrgebiet sind ab dem 1.4. zwei halbe Stellen im Themenbereich Politikfeldanalyse, Schwerpunkte Sozial- bzw. Migrationspolitik, zu besetzen. Die eine Stelle ist im BMBF-finanzierten Forschungsprojekt MIGEP (https://migep.de) angesiedelt und soll sich schwerpunktmäßig mit der Umsetzung der Aufnahmerichtlinie in den Bundesländern befassen. Die andere Stelle ist vor allem mit der Lehre zum Themenfeld Sozialpolitik im BA-Modul Politikfeldanalyse (https://www.fernuni-hagen.de/KSW/portale/bapvs/studium/ss-2020/modul-vp2/) befasst (siehe Anhänge).

We cordially invite empirical research articles on media use and political engagement taking up a cross-culturally comparative design!!! 

Democracies around the world are struggling with the global decline of civic and political engagement, especially among younger generations (Bessant, Farthing, & Watts, 2016; Smith & Thompson, 2015). Recent data from World Value Surveys and the Eurobarometer have yielded alarming results (Whiteley, 2012), showing that young people in most Western countries are increasingly dissatisfied with and disinterested in liberal democracy (Foa & Mounk, 2017; Sloam, 2016). At the same time, this overall decline is paralleled by an increase of new forms of engagement such as lifestyle politics, Internet activism, and political consumerism (Dalton, 2004; 2006; Theocharis & van Deth, 2018). 

These developments have contributed to a new understanding of citizenship, one in which citizens are increasingly engaging through informal, creative, participatory, and digitally networked activities, thus moving political engagement into the domain of entertainment and personalized communication (Park, Kee, & Valenzuela, 2009). Activities that formerly took place offline (such as demonstrations, signing petitions, political discussions) have now largely moved into the online sphere and work in concert with offline civic engagement activity. They include a wide range of phenomena such as using social networks to access information, using digital platforms to exchange views, using mobile applications to access government services, and organizing protests on social networks (Bala, 2014). Many of these emergent behaviors are not yet fully understood. Their global rise across the world as expressed in countless examples of collective action in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the USA, however, render them a timely topic to study from a cross-cultural perspective.

Current scholarship focuses especially on the social and psychological factors that connect media use and political engagement (Hsiao, 2018; Hsiao & Yang, 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018). Social identity, efficacy, injustice perceptions, emotions, values, and system justification beliefs have been identified as crucial psychosocial predictors of digitally enabled political engagement (Hsiao, 2018; Jost et al., 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018; Van Zomeren, Postmes, & Spears, 2008).  At the same time, our understanding of these effects has remained insufficient and largely confined to Western democratic contexts (such as Europe and the USA; see Hsiao, 2018, for an overview of this extensive research). Although a few authors have taken up a non-Western perspective and investigated such mechanisms of political engagement in the non-Western world (e.g. Hsiao, 2018; Valenzuela, Correa, & Gil de Zúñiga, 2018; Wibisono, Louis, & Jetten, 2019), current scholarship is impressively void of cross-culturally comparative approaches to the role of media in political engagement. 

This Special Section aims to highlight the influence of cultural factors (societies, cultures, cultural identities, political regimes etc.) on the relationship between media use and political engagement. We are particularly looking for cross-culturally comparative empirical studies, both qualitative and quantitative, that deal with the role of media use in political engagement. A central aim of the studies should be to understand cultural variance in the theories that have been produced on the topic. Studies should thus focus on a minimum of two cultural contexts that are compared. 

The Special Section is open for a variety of topics. Examples include, but are not limited to:
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of satirical new media formats, such as political talk-shows and political Internet memes, for political engagement;      
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of specific social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and other non-Western variants, for political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of entertainment media, such as political movies and video games, for political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of political, religious, cultural identity in the relationship between media use and political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on the role of ?cultured? emotions and values in the relationship between media use and political engagement;
-	Cross-cultural studies on social-psychological mechanisms in the context of echo chambers, fake news, and propaganda

The review process is two-tiered and comprises the submission of an extended abstract and a full paper. Full papers will be invited only if they are accepted in the prior review of extended abstracts. Extended abstracts are due April JULY 20, 2020; full papers are due September DECEMBER 20, 2020 (see time line below).

The extended abstract (1,000 words max. excluding tables and references) should present previously unpublished work on a topic of clear interest to the Special Section. The extended abstract would typically include information about the cross-cultural purpose, novelty, significance, or knowledge gap being addressed, the cross-cultural methodological design of the study, and present cross-cultural results, conclusions and implications of the work conducted. The extended abstract must provide a title, a short 150-word abstract (not counted towards the 1,000 words), and up to five keywords that identify the thematic focus of the work. If accepted, the final full paper (8,900 words) must be turned in by September December 20, 2020. I?m writing to share with you that me and a couple of colleagues are beginning a short zoom seminar series on minority politics in comparative politics, American politics, and political psychology.  We have invited rising junior scholars to present some of their work.

The schedule is as follows:

Our goal is to be as inclusive as possible of scholars in different time zones and countries. We would like to have as many people participate as possible, so as to make the presentation of scholarly work much more accessible, especially now that conferences have been canceled.

Projekt 13: Erwartungsverletzungen zulassen! Moderatoren eines 
konstruktiven Umgangs in Auseinandersetzungen mit Andersdenkenden

In Kontexten politischer Polarisierung existieren oft negative 
Stereotype und Feindbilder über Andersdenkende, die auch im Lichte 
inkonsistenter Informationen mittels selektiver und verzerrter 
Informationsverarbeitung aufrechterhalten werden. In diesem Projekt soll 
untersucht werden, was Menschen dazu befähigt, in Auseinandersetzungen 
mit Andersdenkenden Erwartungsverletzungen zuzulassen, die eigene 
Perspektive zu erweitern und konstruktiver miteinander umzugehen. 
Mögliche Moderatoren sind u.a. epistemische Überzeugungen, subjektive 
Theorien über den Streitgegenstand und der Grad an Exploration der 
eigenen meinungsbasierten Identität.

Vorausgesetzt werden:
     ein abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Diplom, 
Master oder vergleichbar) im Fach Psychologie

Erwartet werden:
     nachgewiesenes Interesse am Thema des Projekts (zu belegen durch 
ein maximal 1-seitiges Motivationsschreiben, aus dem ggf. bisherige 
Erfahrungen im Themenbereich des Projekts hervorgehen)
     sehr gute Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in quantitativen 
Forschungsmethoden
     sehr gute Englischkenntnisse

Von Vorteil sind:
     Erfahrungen mit klaren Bezügen zur Intergruppenforschung,

we are searching for several new Associate Editors for the Journal of 
Social and Political Psychology, and would appreciate your help in 
spreading the word! If you know of any reliable, thorough, and 
critically minded colleagues who would make good editors and who would 
want to support open access publishing without author fees, as well as a 
journal with a global editorial team that publishes research in 
different epistemological and methodological traditions, with a focus on 
context and an emphasis on social justice, please encourage them to

The position is available from January 1st, 2021 for a contract duration of three years. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.
The researcher will be employed within the international joint research project "The Rural-Urban Divide in Europe (RUDE)", funded by NORFACE. This project is part of the NORFACE Network Programme on "Democratic Governance in a Turbulent Age" and examines the political dimension of rural-urban disparities. Members of the national project team are Prof. Sigrid Roßteutscher, PhD (project leader, Frankfurt), Jun.-Prof. Dr. Kathrin Ackermann (Heidelberg) and Prof. Dr. Richard Traunmüller (Mannheim). International project partners are the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ES), University of Bern (CH), University of Glasgow (UK) and Université Grenoble Alpes (FR).
Among the responsibilities of the advertised position are national and international project management, preparation, harmonisation, geo coding and integration of national and international survey and census data, coordination of an international survey and initiation of international publications.
Required qualifications are an above average PhD degree in social sciences, impeccable English, outstanding expertise in the quantitative methods of social sciences, in data preparation and data management as well as statistical data analysis (STATA or R). Experience in project management or similar executive positions is of advantage. Applicants should have a background in political attitude and behaviour research, demonstrated by international publications.

Your duties: you will occupy the central position for empirical data collection and analysis within this major project. im Rahmen eines drittmittelgeförderten Forschungsprojekts sind 
(vorbehaltlich der endgültigen Förderzusage) ab dem 1.1.2021 für 3 Jahre 
eine Postdocstelle (100% E13, Sozialpsychologie) und drei 
Promotionsstellen (65% E13, Sozialpsychologie, Soziologie,

Das Projekt untersucht Ausmaß und Formen der Identifikation mit Europa, 
sozioökonomische, politische und kulturelle Ursachen für abnehmende

3-Session Online Conference beginning October 30, 2020

Mainstream psychology continues to privilege and promote the interests of the majority, in particular those in Western, Educated, Industrial, Rich, and Democratic countries (WEIRD). The call for a decolonial turn in psychology has gathered momentum over recent years along with greater reflection on how the field reproduces and reinforces systems of oppression including social, racial, economic, and ecological injustices.

This graduate student-led conference will bring together researchers and clinicians to answer two main questions: (a) How can we redress and resist the asymmetrical distribution of power within psychological science, research, training and practice? (b) What steps do we need to take to give voice to those who are marginalized within the field, in particular those outside of the West, and incorporate their knowledge and expertise to create a more holistic discipline? In addressing these questions we will discuss the history of decolonial psychology, how colonialism has shaped the field of psychology, and how we can incorporate decolonial methods into clinical and academic work to move towards personal and collective emancipation.

DEADLINE APPROACHING: ISPP Presidential Scholarship for the Political Psychology of Criminal Justice

Dear Colleagues,

As we have stated previously, the International Society of Political Psychology acknowledges the persistence of racism in all its forms, and condemns the injustices associated with it in the strongest terms. As an organization, we stand with all those who struggle against it. We support those who protest police brutality against Black people and other minorities in America, while recognizing racism is not only a problem there.  As part of its core mission, ISPP strives not only to scientifically understand racism and other forms of intergroup oppression at the individual and interpersonal level, but also at the institutional and systemic level.

As one part of our effort to move forward, we will continue the ongoing discussion of structural racism and its role in our institutions, including policing, prisons, and the courts. ISPP?s past President, Nick Valentino, reserved the majority of his discretionary fund to enable the Society to award a scholarship in the coming year to a scholar working on questions related to role of racism in criminal justice institutions. We therefore welcome any ISPP members working in this area to submit a 2-page application discussing their work and their plans for utilizing the $2,000 scholarship. The awardee will be recognized at the 2021 ISPP Annual Meeting in Montreal (safety permitting). The ISPP Presidential Scholarship for the Political Psychology of Criminal Justice is an opportunity for us all to think about the role of racism and racial inequality in society as a whole, and in our institutions of criminal justice in particular.

The $2,000 Scholarship is open to all ISPP members, and can be used to fund the ongoing research program of the awardee. Please send 2-page description of your work, plus a CV, to Info at ISPP.org<mailto:Info at ISPP.org> by October 31, 2020 for full consideration.

6. Junge Konferenz der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Friedens- und 
Konfliktforschung

in Kooperation mit der

  Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg:

16.-17.03.2021

Radikalisierung ist ein ebenso breiter wie normativ bewerteter und 
umstrittener Begriff in der Friedens- und Konfliktforschung. Besonders 
im Zusammenhang mit kollektiver Gewalt und deren (Nicht-)Anwendung 
bestehen Unklarheiten. Dabei kann Radikalisierung auf einer 
einstellungsorientierten Ebene den Entwicklungsprozess von extremen 
Überzeugungsstrukturen bis hin zu Ideologien beschreiben. Ein weiteres 
Verständnis von Radikalisierung bezeichnet zunächst den Prozess einer 
abnehmenden Akzeptanz der bestehenden Ordnung, der unter Umständen mit 
einer entsprechenden Handlungsbereitschaft verbunden ist.

Modelle zur Beschreibung von Radikalisierungsprozessen und deren 
Zusammenhang mit kollektiver Gewalt sowie Maßnahmen zu deren Prävention 
beziehen sich weitestgehend auf den individuellen Bereich. 
Kritiker*innen beklagen daher ein Empirie- und Handlungsdefizit bei der 
Aufarbeitung von Ursachen kollektiver Gewaltanwendungen auf sowohl einer 
mikro (intrapersonalen), meso (interpersonalen) als auch makro 
(Gesellschafts- und Gruppen) Ebene.

Mögliche Beiträge können sich mit folgenden Themengebieten und Fragen 
beschäftigen, sich aber auch anderen Themen widmen:

-Inwiefern führen gesellschaftliche Konfliktdynamiken zu 
Radikalisierungsprozessen und wie wirken sie auf die Gesellschaft zurück?

-Wie unterscheiden sich "Jugendformen" kollektiver Gewalt von bspw. 
situativen Bedingungen zur plötzlichen Entstehung kollektiver Gewalt?

-Welche theoretischen (aber auch empirischen) Ansätze eignen sich für 
eine Analyse kollektiver Gewalt?

-Aus welcher Perspektive heraus soll sich die Friedens- und 
Konfliktforschung mit den Themen beschäftigen? (z.B. 
Politikwissenschaften, Ethnologie, Psychologie)

-Welche Formen kollektiver Gewalt liegen (neo-)liberalen Gesellschaften 
zugrunde?

-Wie werden Radikalisierung und kollektive Gewalt (diskursiv) legitimiert?

Wir begrüßen ausdrücklich auch empirische und anwendungsorientierte 
Beiträge, die sich mit diesen und weitere Themen zum Spannungsfeld von 
Radikalisierung und kollektiver Gewalt befassen, sowie Beiträge, die 
sich mit anderen Forschungsfeldern der Friedens- und Konfliktforschung 
auseinandersetzen. Auch Beiträge aus der Praxis- und Präventionsarbeit 
sind herzlich willkommen.

Der Call richtet an den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs und möchte 
Studierende, Promovierende und erfahrene Forscher*innen sowie 
Praktiker*innen.  Vor allem NachwuchsforscherInnen sollen ermutigt 
werden, sich im Format der wissenschaftlichen Tagung auszuprobieren.

Die wissenschaftliche Tagungspraxis möchten wir abwechslungsreich 
gestalten. Deshalb freuen wir uns über unterschiedliche Beitragsformate, 
die von Vorträgen über Fishbowl-Diskussionen bis hin zu Postern und 
Podcasts reichen können. Wir möchten dazu ermutigen, sich nicht nur mit 
inhaltlichen Beiträgen, sondern gern auch mit didaktischem Know-How zu 
bewerben und Beiträge didaktisch, kreativ und/oder dokumentarisch (z.B. 
durch Graphic Recording, interaktive Visualisierung oder als 
klassische/r Discussant) zu begleiten.

Die Junge AFK strebt eine Drittmittelfinanzierung an, um die Fahrtkosten 
und Tagungskosten für Vortragende und Diskutant*innen übernehmen zu 
können. Bei Bedarf bemüht sich die Junge AFK auch um die Bereitstellung 
einer Kinderbetreuung.

Aufgrund der COVID-19 Pandemie wurde das Kolloquium 2020 auf 2021 
verschoben, weshalb das Oberthema unverändert bleibt. Mit diesem Call 
bitten wir um Beiträge zum Oberthema, aber auch zu anderen Themen der 
Friedens- und Konfliktforschung jenseits davon. Panels und 
Einzelbeiträge, die bereits für das Kolloquium 2020 angenommen waren, 
werden (falls gewünscht) in das Programm für 2021 überführt.

Abstracts bzw. didaktische Ideenskizzen in deutscher oder englischer 
Sprache im Umfang von max. 500 Wörtern sowie Hinweise auf benötigte 
Materialien/Technik und einen kurzen CV sendet ihr/Sie bitte bis

*Radicalization and Collective Violence*

6. Young Conference of the German Association for Peace and Conflict 
Studies in cooperation with the

The term radicalization is as wide and normative as it is controversial 
within peace and conflict research. Ambiguities remain especially in 
connection with collective violence and its (non-) application. 
Radicalization can describe the development process from extreme belief 
structures to ideologies. A further understandingof radicalization 
refers to the process of diminishing acceptance of an existing order, 
which might be associated with a corresponding willingness to act.

Modelsof radicalization processes and their relation to collective 
violence as well as measures for their prevention are largely related to 
the individual realm. Critics thus see an empirical deficit in 
addressing the causes of collective violence applications at both a 
micro (intrapersonal), meso (interpersonal) and macro (social and group) 
level.

Contributions on the following questions are encouraged, but not limited 
to these topics:

- To what extent do social conflict dynamics lead to processes of 
radicalization and how do they affect society?

- How do "youth forms" of collective violence differ from, for example, 
situational conditions dealing with a sudden eruption of collective 
violence?

- Which theoretical (but also empirical) approaches are suitable for an 
analysis of collective violence?

- From which perspectives should peace and conflict research approach 
the topic? (e.g., Political Science, Ethnology, Psychology)

- Which forms of collective violence underlie (neo) liberal societies?

- How are radicalization and collective violence (discursively) legitimized?

We explicitly welcome empirical and application-oriented contributions 
that address these and other topics within the research areas of 
conflict, radicalization and collective violence. Contributions dealing 
with other areas of research in peace and conflict studies, as well as 
practical and preventive work are also welcome.

The call is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, experienced 
researchers and practitioners. Our aim is to encourage students and 
young researchers to try out the academic conference format.

We would like to present a diverse range of papers and approaches.That's 
why we're excited about different contribution formats from talks to 
fishbowl discussions to posters and podcasts. We would like to encourage 
you not only to contribute conventional academicpapers, but also look 
forward to contributions with didactic know-howwhich are accompanied by 
didactic, creative and / or documentary work (for example through 
graphic recording, interactive visualization or as a classic discussant).

Junge AFK is seeking third-party funding to cover travel costs and 
conference costs for lecturers and panelists. If required, the Junge AFK 
also strives to provide childcare.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we had to postpone the annual conference of 
2020 to 2021 which is why the main topic of the conference remains the 
same. With this Call for Papers and Panels we invite scholars and 
practitioners to hand submissions addressing the main topic of the 
conference. Submissions beyond the main topic are also highly welcome. 
Papers and panels that had been accepted for the conference of 2020 can 
be added to the program of 2021.

Abstracts or didactic ideasproposals in German or English of

das Forum Friedenspsychologie schreibt zum 15. Mal den Gert-Sommer-Preis 
für Friedenspsychologie aus. Der Preis ist mit 1000,- Euro dotiert.

Eingereicht werden können in deutscher oder englischer Sprache verfasste 
Qualifizierungsarbeiten auf allen Ebenen. Die Arbeiten sollen sich mit 
Fragen der Friedenspsychologie befassen, d.h. mit psychologischen 
Dimensionen der Prävention und des Abbaus direkter, struktureller 
und/oder kultureller Gewalt, der gewaltfreien und konstruktiven 
Austragung kollektiver Konflikte oder der Förderung von Menschenrechten 
und sozialer Gerechtigkeit (z.B. durch Friedensbildung oder 
Friedenspädagogik, auch Themen wie Nachhaltigkeit können hier relevant 
sein). Es können auch friedenspsychologische Arbeiten eingereicht 
werden, die nicht im Fach Psychologie angesiedelt sind.

Submission Deadline: 1 December 2020 - Final Reminder!

This is the final reminder for the submissions deadline for the 44th ISPP Annual Meeting! Given the uncertainty for safe travel next summer, the ISPP leadership has decided to move our 2021 Annual Meeting online. The online format, which we successfully used for the ISPP 2020 conference, will include a variety of opportunities to present your work, receive feedback, and network with colleagues. The conference will be set in 3 times zones to accommodate speakers and attendees in East Asia/Oceania, Eurasia/Africa, and the Americas. We are interested in bringing together new research from a range of disciplines: political science, psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, biology, communication, history, philosophy, and other disciplines. We hope to bring about an exciting intellectual exchange that will enrich the study of political psychology and help us to better understand the dynamics of society and politics in the world today.

The submission portal will be open through 1 December 2020 for papers, posters, blitz presentations, panels, and roundtables.

The Program Committee will review your proposal, and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to you via email in late January or early February 2021.

Please note that if your proposal is accepted, you will also need to confirm your participation by making sure to register and pay for conference attendance by 17 March 2021 (or you will be removed from the program and you will not be scheduled to present at the conference).

Title: Beyond Recognition, Towards Abolition: Indigenous Theories of Change and Justice in Psychology | Bio: Dr. Jeffrey Ansloos is a Registered Psychologist and Assistant Professor of Indigenous Health and Social Policy in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Dr. Ansloos is the Canada Research Chair in Critical Studies in Indigenous Health and Social Action on Suicide. Dr. Ansloos is Nehiyaw (Cree) and English and is a member of Fisher River Cree Nation (Ochekwi-Sipi; Treaty 5). He was born and raised in the heart of Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Liebe Leute,

das Forum Friedenspsychologie schreibt zum 15. Mal den Gert-Sommer-Preis 
für Friedenspsychologie aus. Der Preis ist mit 1000,- Euro dotiert.

Eingereicht werden können in deutscher oder englischer Sprache verfasste 
Qualifizierungsarbeiten auf allen Ebenen. Die Arbeiten sollen sich mit 
Fragen der Friedenspsychologie befassen, d.h. mit psychologischen 
Dimensionen der Prävention und des Abbaus direkter, struktureller 
und/oder kultureller Gewalt, der gewaltfreien und konstruktiven 
Austragung kollektiver Konflikte oder der Förderung von Menschenrechten 
und sozialer Gerechtigkeit (z.B. durch Friedensbildung oder 
Friedenspädagogik, auch Themen wie Nachhaltigkeit können hier relevant 
sein). Es können auch friedenspsychologische Arbeiten eingereicht 
werden, die nicht im Fach Psychologie angesiedelt sind.
