*PostDoc position in cognitive/environmental psychology*

Applications are invited for a 100% (TVL-13) post-doctoral researcher at Heidelberg University in an interdisciplinary project that examines the psychology of fishers and fishery stakeholders in a threatened socio-ecological resource system, the Lake Victoria Nile perch fishery (MULTITIP). This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an interdisciplinary research team (including behavioral economics, fishery biology, mathematical modeling, environmental and cognitive psychology) in a large project. MultiTip investigates the cognitive processing and understanding of the Nile perch fishery at Lake Victoria. The project includes considerable fieldwork in East Africa to assess stakeholders’ perceptions (mental models) and how these influence decision-making.

The post is initially limited until May 2023, with the possibility of being extended for an additional 2 years subject to funding. The intended start date is as soon as possible.
